I strive to balance
convenience and ease with experience and competence.

When not practicing law, I enjoy experimenting with many types of fluid acrylic art.

For most of my career, I have focused on ways to provide the best legal services to my clients; first as Managing Partner for a mid-sized law firm, and now as co-owner of my own law firm.  I saw the benefits and the drawbacks of the traditional, brick & mortar law firm model.   I started my career as a divorce litigator in eastern North Carolina.  Rather than retire wearing a suit, I decided to rewire my practice to focus on providing virtual legal services.

In 2013, Irvine Law Firm began offering online legal services and document preparation.  Our goal has always been to provide quality legal services that are more affordable, more convenient, and more efficient than the traditional law firm alternative.  We also provide the personal service often missing from the online form companies.  I have 30+ years of experience as a practicing North Carolina estate, real estate, and family law attorney.  I enjoy working directly with my clients from the initial contact to the satisfactory conclusion of the process.

I grew up in eastern North Carolina.  I graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill and received my law degree from Wake Forest University Law School. I was licensed to practice law in North Carolina in 1988 and in Virginia in 1989.

I am fortunate to be married to my soulmate, bandmate and business partner, David Irvine.  We play music together in Asheville with The Lads. I also enjoy fluid acrylic painting and jewelry making.
